I also wanted to tell you about a little project I am currently working on for my classroom. So, July 25th was me and hubby's 5th wedding anniversary! We went to Charlotte for the night because I REALLY wanted to go to The Cheesecake Factory!! YUMMY!! It was awesome!! Since we were in Charlotte, I BEGGED to go to IKEA!! I bought 6 of these stools at $4.99 each!! Wowzer! What a deal?!?

So, today at Wal-Mart, I bought 3 cans of spray paint: lime green, bright pink, and bright orange! I just took all the stools out of their packages, and I am going to spray paint them tomorrow evening! After they have dried, my hubby has promised to put them together! Let's hear it for the men who marry teachers!! They are awesome!! So thankful for mine! :) After he puts them all together, I will post my AFTER PICTURES!! :) I'm so excited to see these around my guided reading table at school in a week or so!

Well.... HELLO THERE!!!! Currently August.....

Well, it has been FOREVER!! I know, I know! I am ashamed it has been so long since I blogged!! Please accept my apologies!!!! I have missed it! Life happens and life has been busy for my family!!! I told my hubby tonight though that I am ready to get back to my passion: blogging about my adventures with my kiddos!! I hope you can forgive me for staying away so long!! 

So, since I have decided to get back to blogging, I thought a good first post back would be...... Currently: August!! I love doing Farley's Currently each month. It is so much fun to see what everyone is doing in the blogging world each month, and I love to put my thoughts out there too! Here is mine for August: 

Listening: 

Well, it is 11:32 here, and much to my dismay, I STILL have on the cartoon my son was watching before he fell asleep! I ALWAYS end up doing this!! Can I get an AMEN from any other Mamas out there?!?

Loving: 

I am loving the time I spent with my hubby and son tonight at dinner. We had such a fun, laid back time eating at a Chinese restaurant in town with my husband's favorite: a hibachi grill! Here is a picture of us tonight at dinner! :) 

Thinking:

My mind is in overdrive! I have SO MUCH I need to do before school starts, but I am LOVING SUMMER!! Anybody else out there in the same predicament?? I have all these ideas in my head! I just need to sit down and make some of them happen!! I WILL work on it all THIS WEEK! :) 

Wanting:
I have ABSOLUTELY missed blogging! I used to blog at least once a week, but this year has been extremely busy for my family. I finally feel like things are starting to slow down a little bit, and I can start blogging again like I want to! I LOVE being able to share what is going on in my classroom, and I love reading what other colleagues are doing in theirs! It is great professional development, even if we don't get credit for it! HA! :) 

Needing:

Well, as I already shared, I am enjoying this summer WAY TOO MUCH!! I have to attend a 3 day long PD this coming week, and my plan is to get into my classroom after the PD each day, and work, work, work! Stay tuned for a classroom reveal in the near future!!

1st Day with my Kids:

August 19th!! AHHH!!! I can't believe it is almost here!! What day do you start back with your kids?
