November Currently

I am linking up with Farley over at Oh' Boy 4th Grade for her November Currently! Go check it out! Here is my November Currently:

LISTENING: I can't believe how silent my house is right now! Seriously, I have a 2 1/2 year old. It is NEVER silent, but I am enjoying it for at least a few minutes!!

LOVING: My new Crocs are SO STINKIN COMFY!!! Here is a picture of them:
Y'all, seriously, these things are SO comfortable! Just click on the picture to check them out on the Crocs website!

THINKING: I really love my students, and I have had to remind myself this week of why I do what I do everyday. Being a teacher is not easy. In fact, it can be frustrating and thankless, BUT I do it for my students...PERIOD! I love to teach and watch my students grow! I love to see them light up when they learn something new! At times, I am the only positive person they have in their life, and I count it a BLESSING to be able to do what I do everyday! Teaching is a calling, and I believe I have been called to teach my sweet students! :)

WANTING: I am a Nicholas Sparks-o-holic! I am seriously missing having a new Sparks book to read! I need a new book!! So, if anyone has any suggestions for a good book I could read, I am all ears!

NEEDING: I need to slow down. I have to tell myself this constantly because I am always going 90 mph trying to get everything done! So, this weekend, my family is spending some much needed quality time together! I really don't care what we do as long as we are doing it together! :)

MUSIC: Honestly, I don't play music in my classroom on a regular basis! Help me out friends! What do you play in your classroom on a regular basis? I would love some good suggestions to use in my classroom!!

So, there it is ~ my November Currently! Head on over to Oh' Boy 4th Grade to link up! Just remember Farley's rule of 3: comment on the one or two ahead of your link and then come back and comment on the one or two after yours... and be sure to make it meaningful!!!

HAPPY SATURDAY and GO CLEMSON TIGERS!!!

  1. I am so right there with you on the slowing down thing. It is so hard to "put it down" and take a moment for our own family our ourselves. Great reminder today my friend.

    1. Thanks for commenting Kelley! It is hard to "put it down", but I have spent the whole day with my family today, and it has been AWESOME! I love your blog friend! :)

  2. I can't live without my crocs. They are the only shoes I wear. They have so many stylish choices now. I broke my foot years ago and I was in a lot of pain being on my feet all day. Once I discovered Crocs, my life changed! I haven't had any pain for years! My favorite is the Patricia. I live in Texas so I mostly wear sandals.

    Your fellow Croc lover!

  3. Just found you through Farley's Currently--so glad I did! I'm your newest follower :) I really relate to loving your class. I've had all sorts of years and groups that have been more or less challenging, but this particular group is heaven. We all deserve a year where we feel that way, I think.

    1. I actually looped up with my students from third grade last year to fourth grade this year! I love them! They are an amazing group of young people! I think my frustration comes from all the things outside of the classroom that we have to deal with! Some days, I just wish I could go in my class, teach all day, and not have to worry about anything else! :) Thanks for commenting! :)

Oh, yeah, I also LOVE Crocs. I wear them pretty much year around! I'm going to definitely go check the ones out you posted above :) I even have the Croc flip flops. I wear those in the spring and summer, then switch to real Crocs in the fall and winter.

  7. Hi, Lacie!

I completely agree. Teaching is a calling. I don't have a classroom yet but I am dying to get in there! I know being a teacher is not easy but it's what I was born to do. :)

I haven't read any Nicholas Sparks books lately but may I recommend a few by other authors?

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen (I love the movie but I love the book more. I'm a nerd and insist on reading the book before watching the movie. lol)

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini

    Room by Emma Donoghue

    Have a fabulous weekend! :)
