Well, it is that time of year again! I go back to school again on Thursday (insert moment of silence)...This is always a bittersweet time of year for me! I love teaching so much, and I love the beginning of a new school year, but I also love spending my whole summer with my 2 year old son Sully!!! So, this week begins my rush of emotions as I head back to my job that I love and leave my 2 year old at the babysitter again. How are you guys feeling about going back to school? Anyone else have these bittersweet feelings? I have to say, this has been the best summer I have had so far since I have been teaching! I have spent so much quality time with my family. It has been amazing! I have been having so much fun that I have not gotten into my classroom to really do anything like I had planned on! Oops!! I guess I will be working extra hard this week! :)
So, to celebrate Monday, I have decided to giveaway a copy of my ZEBRA THEMED CLASSROOM DECOR SET!!
All you need to do to enter is answer the question below! I will choose a winner tonight at 9:00 pm using a random number generator! Here is the question:
What is your favorite part of your classroom to set up?

My favorite part to set up is my bulletin boards and places to hold students work. I love knowing that by creating these spaces the students will hopefully feel like the classroom is their own!

I love to set up the student center and board. It has the calendar, their schedule, a homework section that we update everyday, tutoring passes and general supplies like paperclips, pens, pencils, labels, etc. It's fun to make it bright colors and look cute.

Every year I redo my classroom (Private school, small room). I love to rearrange my bins, change my theme, and try to optimize issues from the previous year. However, my FAVORITE thing to set up is my LIBRARY. I just LOVE books. I go to thrift stores, garage sales, I'll take any books. I have thousands of books in my little room (and more at home). This year I bought bins for my book shelves in 4 colors, and had to paint twenty 2 other colors. Now I will reorganize and hopefully the kids will LOVE IT!!

My favorite part of my room to set up would be things that support my theme. This year I switched to zebra, so I loved putting up and changing out the old for the new. I also love adding new and improved furniture. Instead of making the crate seats, I found these fabulous ottomans that you can store items in and not be seen. And they are flammable resistant, so I can have them in my room. I would love to win your set of fabulous zebra stuff as it would go so well with my new theme.
ReplyDeleteThanks everybody for playing today! Marlene, lucky number 4, was the winner today! Thanks for sharing all your favorite things to set up in your classroom!!! :)
